Looking soberly at the world around us, there are profound themes of suffering and loss that pervade our headlines and impact every aspect of daily living. Losses of life, hope, economic opportunity, freedom–all causing despair and missed potential for people, organizations and communities. Challenges to recover and “return to normal” are plagued by faulty mindsets and scarce resources, further perpetuating more loss and suffering.

And while many intelligent and well-intentioned people from all sectors–for-profitt, non-profit, and government– are trying to solve these challenges, at the core, there are persistent and pervasive design flaws within these well-intentioned solutions.
