Deb lives in San Diego with her husband and two dogs (the Law Labs), where she hopes to leave the world a better place as an advocate for gender equity, social justice, and the rule of law.
How would you define HX and why it is important to your life’s work?
When I think of HX, I think of the two drivers of the human condition: rational and relational. While research, data and facts create confidence in the path forward (head logic), it is our emotions that drive behavior (heart logic). Success, be it individual or organizational, can be achieved through the mastery of either heart logic or head logic, but truly transformational work requires both. It’s this intersection of head logic and heart logic where HX flourishes.
